It’s time to get the FACTS on expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam cups. They’re still white, but greener than you thought.

Foam cups are a great product with a lot of science on their side. The Scientific Studies tab to the right offer summaries and detailed reports on energy, water and material used, as well as comparisons of foam to alternative products.

Foam keeps that fresh taste in food and drinks by maintaining serving temperature longer than any other single-service product. Foam insulates better than other alternatives and so is more comfortable to hold.
